Spanish Tip at the Top of the Week #4

Never start a sentence with the word porque. Although you want to express the cause or reason for something, the word you want to use is como, which is like saying “since.” If you flip the word order, then porque is usually appropriate.


Como no tengo bastante dinero, no puedo ir.

No puedo ir porque no tengo bastante dinero.

Try this tongue twister:

Como poco coco como, poco coco compro.
